Wisdom Conference 2012: Kingdom Family

About

About The Kingdom Family

Christian parents love their kids and want to see them develop into healthy adults who genuinely follow Christ; making a difference with their lives. But they face a number of challenges…

There is so much written on child rearing and parenting! Do you have to have a degree in child development in order to train your kids well? Is there an overall “training process” that you can use in daily life that will actually grow your kids rightly? What is it?
How do you fit work, family, church and ministry together? Even more, how do you do it in a way that your kids grow up wanting to both have families and to impact the world? With several kids, time is so limited. It takes so much effort just to make job and family work!
Is there an overall “training process” that you can use in daily life that will actually grow your kids rightly? What is it?
How do you grow a child to be more than just a “mediocre” Christian? How do you develop kids who want to love God?
Over time, I have seen a number of sincere Christian parents “lose” their kids to the culture. Somehow, though the parents have tried hard, the kids get sucked away from them. How does that happen? Is there a way to avoid it? How?
Why do the large majority of the graduates of Christian high schools end up with a “secular humanist” view of life rather than a Biblical worldview?
So many couples in their middle years divorce and their families come apart. Why does that happen? How do you hold marriage and family together amid the stresses of the middle years?
Is it possible to grow a family that stays close over the years? How?

Wisdom Conference 2012, The Kingdom Family, will address these issues and many more.

At the conference you will learn…

About the Wisdom Conference Series

Have you ever tried to assemble a jigsaw puzzle? It's much easier if you can see the picture on the box. The "big picture" gives you an idea of how all the pieces fit together.

The Christian life is made up of a lot of "pieces:" our personal relationship with the Lord, our mental life, our friendships, our jobs, our possessions, our families, etc. Wisdom Conferences attempt to give the "big picture" on fitting the pieces of life together under God's leadership.

In the Bible, "wisdom" is knowing how to accomplish things God's way. Wisdom is key to success:

Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade.
That's the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.
- Eccl 10:10, New Living Translation

The Wisdom Conferences give you an opportunity to "sharpen your blade" and learn God's ways to succeed in several arenas of life.

At the Wisdom Conferences,

  • Ministry leaders will find an understanding of the arenas of life that is at once
    • Biblical in perspective,
    • Broad enough to handle wide areas of Christian living
    • Specific enough to be used in helping people solve the problems of daily life
  • Christ-followers will gain an understanding of how Scriptures fit into making daily life work
  • Parents will grasp how to both model the Christian life for their children and also explain it based on Bible passages.

Each Wisdom Conference:

  • Focuses on key issues that dramatically impact our daily lives, such as Attitudes, Authority, Relationships, etc.
  • Presents the Bible's overall perspective on that matter (the big picture).
  • Then details what the Scripture specifically says about how to wisely handle different parts of that issue (how to put the pieces together)

For example, the Wisdom Conference on Attitudes, Authority and Success:

  • Focuses on two key issues that dramatically impact our lives: the attitudes we live with and the way we deal with authority.
  • Presents the Bible's five key attitudes that are promised tremendous blessing—and details how to implement them
  • Gives the comprehensive Biblical guidelines for exercising authority or following it—and details how we are to deal with authority in various arenas of life: the state, in the home, on the job and in the church.

And, the Wisdom Conference on Relationships and Success:

  • Focuses on an arena of life that dramatically impacts our daily lives: relationships.
  • Gives the key Scriptural guidelines that shape how we are to deal with all relationships.
  • Then, lays out how the Scripture says we are to specifically handle our relationship with the State, our neighbors, the poor, our enemies, male/female relationships, marriage, parenting and relationships in the church congregation.

Wisdom conferences present a "whole-Bible" approach to the arena addressed. For example, in the Conference Relationships and Success, the comprehensive view of relationships utilizes both Old Testament and New Testament information. The information is fitted together from the perspective of the New Testament, but includes the extensive information on relationships found in Old Testament books such as Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.

What people are saying about Harold Bullock and his conferences:

Harold Bullock teaches and lives from the perspective that God's Word contains "the Way of Wisdom." He brings the core of scripture to real life in very practical ways. He sees the multidimensional levels on which life exists, and slices through it with the Word of God. Thad King, Pastor @ Pierpoint Church, Huntington Beach, CA

Thanks for helping me to spend my time more wisely building church life around the things that matter to God. Terry Williams, Pastor @ River Community Church, Wichita, KS

As a seminary student I've taken many classes that focus on knowledge but aren't always practical in walking with and honoring the Lord in my life. Harold's conference on Relationships and success is rooted in scripture and he gives wise council on applying God's Word to our lives. It's extremely practical! Meghan Overlien, Growth Group Leader @ Hope Church, Fort Worth, TX

For over 20 years I have had the privilege of not only knowing and learning from Harold Bullock in various settings, I have watched the lives and ministries of many of the leaders who have come out of Hope and the Hope Global Network. Harold is not only a wise leader who has modeled what he is teaching, but the leaders who have gone out from Hope are demonstrating high character, a deep walk with God, effectiveness in ministry, and have done so with a cooperative spirit by giving of themselves to others and to various institutions. From coast to coast I know Hope guys who are impacting their region out of an overflow of their walk with God and practically living out the wisdom Harold has shared with them. In absolutely the best ways, the Hope people are known to be a peculiar people. Dr. Will McRaney - Director, Evangelism Strategy Department, Florida Baptist Convention

My high expectations were exceeded in this wisdom seminar on relationships.  Harold delivers a godly and biblical approach to relationships from years of ministry experience into practical and useable wisdom. Beau Thompson, Student Worship Leader @ Hope Church, Fort Worth, TX

Harold has a lot of wisdom… he's really good at helping you think through, 'What is it that I need to do in my situation', … helping me to think through what's my situation and what can I do and what are my experiences; how can I pull all that together to make a change in my church. Stephanie Schleyer, New Hope Church, Alexandria, VA

These seminars are truly life altering.  I always walk away with a clearer direction in life and a renewed excitement to walk with Christ and serve others. Isaac Molen, church member @ Church in the Valley, Diamond Bar, CA

[Harold is] one of the few men that has truly shaken and sharpened my view of God and 'how church works'. Bob Johnson, Pastor @ Canyon Hills Church, San Diego, CA

…a great perspective reminder. In dealing with people efficiency and effectiveness don't always go hand-in-hand…I need to focus on being effective. Neil Walker, USC Student Ministries
